The recently launched Working Group “Cohesion Policy indicators” held its inaugural meeting on 26 March 2015 in Brussels.

The objective of the meeting was to discuss the state of play with regard to the future Cohesion Policy allocation methodology and examine alternative economic, social and territorial indicators.

Following a presentation of CPMR work on the subject, Fiona Wishlade from the European Policy Research Centre at the University of Strathclyde delivered a presentation on the historical and political context of Cohesion Policy negotiations. Eric Gonnard from the OECD presented the well-being index and its general purpose to improve policy making.
