Marine Living Resources
The CPMR monitors the socio-economic impacts of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), in connection with issues such as the obligation to land all catches, the link between fisheries and environmental regulations (e.g. MSFD) and setting-up multi-annual management plans in the different sea basins.
CPMR actions in the area of fisheries and aquaculture are developed through the Fisheries Working Group, which is coordinated by Brittany Region. These actions involve a sea basin dimension, which is developed through relevant working groups of the CPMR Geographical Commissions (Atlantic Arc Commission, Intermediterranean Commission, North Sea Commission).
