Education & Training

Vasco da Gama (VDG) DG is an initiative taken by the CPMR in 2010
(cf. Final Declaration, CPMR General Assembly, Aberdeen, 1st October 2010).

In order to develop the attractiveness of maritime careers among Europeans, the Regions decided to commit themselves to developing transnational mobility for young people in different sectors of the maritime economy.

The initiative is based on a Memorandum of Understanding and on the development of projects at European and sea basin levels via CPMR Geographical Commissions.
